Spreader used one season with straight salt/sand. Spreader used 5 seasons with Magic Salt (original chain and paint) . Magic Salt^® has the lowest corrosion rating of any de-icer on the market. When mixed 50% with a Magnesium Chloride, it has a corrosion value less than that of distilled water.
